Juni 2006 - Large viewing distance Tritium Lights The viewing distance of Tritium Lights has been tested by an independent research institute. The results are:
The minimum viewing distance has to be 20 meter ! A summarising report is available. In comparison: electrical sings do have an average viewing distance of approximately 24 meter ! April 2006 - Dutch subsidy for Tritium Lights Tritium Lights qualify for the Dutch "Energie Investerings Aftrek (EIA)". This means 44% discount on the purchase amount of Tritium Lights before tax. Tritium Lights are illuminated with light sources that consist of glass tubes, that have been internally coated with phospor and filled with Tritium gas. Tritium gas (3H) is an isotope of hydrogen that emits low energy radiation in the form of beta rays, or electrons. These electrons stimulate the phosphor coating causing the tubes to continuously emit light. read more
